had a smaller wedding located at a friend's
home on Lake Harriet, and Donovan was our
entertainment.
It was the most perfect day of our lives,
and it wouldn't have been the same without
Donovan. It was such a great alternative to
a DJ, and he had us all dancing. He was
polite, entertaining and fun! Everyone that
was at our wedding told us how versatile
Donovan was with the song selection and with

So
What's Different About Us?

The Amazing
Band was created to "raise the bar" and form a "Corporate
Friendly Rock Band". The goal was to create a reliable
and
highly-skilled band that's ACCESSIBLE to companies needing quality entertainment
for their
special
events.
And although I've performed as a soloist at several weddings
over the years, the
thought of pursuing a career as a "wedding singer" had
not yet crossed my mind (I thought that it would be like some kind of cheesy movie with a
weird sound track).
But when people started asking us to play for their
wedding-receptions, I had to reconsider...
This started in
2002 and I wasn't really sure at first, I didn't have a ton of
experience with receptions and I didn't want to be a musical cliché . But I gave it some thought and discussed it with my drummer David,
who's a 20 year musical veteran and like a BIG brother to me,
he gave me some pointers about playing receptions and told me we should give it a
go.
As it turns out, all of the songs that I've been playing in
bars/clubs all of these years, work perfectly for
wedding-receptions, really well, I mean even
better than I imagined!
Since then, in addition to providing Corporate Entertainment for
companies like General Mills, Philips Beverage, Welshco, and Prime Advertising and Design, we've
played for a bunch of Wonderful Wedding Receptions, and they've
all been AMAZING!
I now proudly accept my calling as "The Wedding Singer" and
am grateful to be a part of such a
special occasion. Making the music, that makes a reception great,
is like being in Heaven for One Night for Me!

Of "Good Vibrations"... |
In their song "Good
Vibrations" the Beach Boys say, "Gotta keep those
lovin’ good, vibrations a happenin’ with her...", and we understand what they're talking
about.
When we entertain for your reception, you can count on the
reception hall to be filled with those Lovin' Good Vibrations! Not everyone gets this concept
unfortunately, so make sure that the entertainment you
hire does!
Before you entrust anyone to entertain for your reception, get
to know a little about who they are and where they come from, to

That being said,
perhaps you would like to know a little more about my background and my
Amazing Band...
Just
like you I grew up listening
to all the great music of the 20th century. Artists like
The Bee Gees, ELO, Led Zepplin, Hall & Oates, Van Morrison,
U2, The Rolling Stones, ABBA, Queen, Bob Dylan, AC/DC,
Fleetwood Mac, Cat Stevens and The Beatles, just to name
just a few...
I
sang in choir from an early age, both at school and church (where I also played
piano). I lettered in music my senior year and went on to study
piano and arranging at the renowned Berklee College of Music in
Boston (with the help of a music scholarship) and my original
music was featured on The Young and The Restless
soap opera repeatedly from 2000-2002.
When
entertaining for large groups, I Sing, Play
the Guitar and the Harmonica. With extensive experience
performing for parties, weddings, and company events, as well
as performing regularly at over 40 bars and clubs through
out the Twin Cities, you can count on me to connect with
the people at your reception and provide musical entertainment that will
delight and inspire everyone!
